Fleadh Fever spills over into Roscommon when singer Seán Ó Sé, “An Poc ar Buile” song fame and accordionist Martin Donohoe, “The Cavanman “ join forces with NYAH guests Seamus Fay Lilter and the Donohoe Family.

A night of songs sung in both Irish and English, yarns & storytelling ,lilting and good old style traditional Irish music is guaranteed and if its anything like last year’s performance at Strokestown Park House, it will be a great night of music!

Martin Donohoe is an accordion player and Shannon Side Northern Sound Radio Presenter. A native of Cavan, he is a gifted traditional musician and highly regarded in traditional circles for his dynamic personal style on the accordion and unique, individual interpretation of the music, Martin’s music has been recorded and released in a number of albums on the Clo Iar Chonnachta Label & NYAH label .

Cork’s Seán Ó Sé’s fine tenor voice is frequently heard on radio and he is regularly featured on television. The classically trained tenor, and his recording of An Poc ar Buile was the nearest the Irish language came to enjoying a pop chart hit. A masterful singer and storyteller, Sean has recorded over 15 albums and his landmark recordings with Sean O Riada’s Ceoltoriri Chualann are prized in may record collections. He was part of the exciting Ó Riada years in the sixties and helped the great man blaze a new trail for Irish Traditional Music and Song. Seán’s repertoire is centered on Sean Nos (“old style”) Irish language ballads and also includes English language Irish songs as well as Scottish, English and American melodies.
